Chris Hiatt
Known as Schmeeglewop, Chris has been holding down one of the woodwind chairs in the Japonize Elephants since very shortly after the group was formed in the mid '90's. After a stint in the SF Bay Area in the early aughts performing with such legendary acts as The Funkmobile, Sexfresh, Amaldecor, Research & Development, Eargoggles and Aphrodesia, Chris has lately become a go-to performer on saxophones, flutes, clarinets, whistles and vocals in the great City of New York. He recently formed Molly Tigre with some other Elephants, and has been performing in NYC for many years with The Get It! He also performs with Jeff Litman, Emily Zuzik and is a regular contributor to the Leave a Lasting Mark Concert Series.
