George Ban-Weiss

George Ban-Weiss, a native of Davis, CA, has been playing upright and electric bass since he was 15 years old. He regularly performs and records with many of the finest San Francisco Bay Area bands including two-time Grammy Award winner Mads Tolling, the Mitch Marcus Quintet, Atomic Roger, Sylvain Carton Quartet, and various Jazz Mafia configurations. He has also worked as a session musician, having recorded for Sony Playstation games. 

George has performed at many high profile venues such as Yoshi's, The Warfield Theatre, The Palace of Fine Arts, The Great American Music Hall, and The Independent on the west coast, and Small's and the 55 Bar jazz club in Manhattan.
