Mitch Marcus, known in many circles as A.Forcefield aka The Professional aka Mezecal Pufq aka Able McKenzie aka A Thumbtack or just "Tack" for short, in addition to the Japonize Elephants can be seen and heard in a wide variety of musical situations writing music as well as playing Tenor/Bari/Alto Saxophones, Piano, Keyboards, Clarinet, Flute, and Vocals.  Some of these include: The Mitch Marcus Quintet and it's offspring; The Mitch Marcus Quintet + 13, Aaron Freeman's "Marvelous Clouds", Heyo , Molly Tigre, The Get It, Donovan Leitch, Anna Halldosdottir group, The Jam 'n' Jellies (original childrens music),and Aphrodesia.<br /><br /> Mitch currently resides in New York City, back after his tenure in the SF Bay Area where he keeps up playing with The Nathan Clevenger Sextet, The Matt Small Chamber Ensemble, Stanley, and Mood Food.  Mitch works as an accompanist with Mark Morris Dance Group, Alvin Ailey Dance American Dance Theater, as well as a host of Musical Theater projects.  Mitch proudly endorses Vandoren Reeds and Mouthpieces.
